Job # 1034 Residential Assistant – Mathias
Hourly $11.03 – $13.21 (midpoint) Full- time 40 hrs 11pm – 7am
Perform, coordinate and monitor the daily non-clinical operations of the program. Conduct tour of the facility and make introductions. Problem solve and provide other support to clients as needed. Serve as a role model. Assist in new client admissions. Review rules and regulations, issue linens, assign bedrooms, sign appropriate releases, gather birth certificates and social security cards, etc. Assist with the supervision of AA/NA meetings. Check daily client details and follow through on any unsatisfactory performance. Assign daily client housekeeping assignments and assist clients in performing necessary housekeeping tasks. Coordinate client appointments with appropriate social service agencies; i.e. doctors, dentists, GPA, etc. Conduct toxicology testing for all clients as instructed by Program Manager. Administer breathalyzer test and collect urine for drug screens. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Advanced education preferred. Experience working with a substance abuse population is strongly preferred. Must have awareness of the general trends in confronting the problems of substance abuse.

Job No. 78 Intake Specialist - Per Diem - All shifts
Salary: $25,250 - $33,000 (midpoint). Full-time 37.5 hrs 1st shift M – F 7am – 3pm, 2nd shift M – F 3pm – 11pm, 3rd shift S – Th 11pm – 7am.
Triaging all requests for RESPECT (Recovery oriented, Empathetic Services Proactively Empowering Consumers in Treatment) continuum of care, incorporating clinical information, demographic information and CNOM eligibility, availability of placements, and knowledge of all RESPECT programs and other diversion options. Assist in arranging for client transfer from referral site to RESPECT site. Triage all telephone calls directed to RESPECT from a variety of referral sources including hospitals, consumers, families, police, etc. Gather demographic and CNOM information, check EDS on all non-insured clients. Gather presenting clinical concerns, risk factors, ASAM and diagnostic criteria when available, and level of care request. Make determinations of level of care based on clinical information provided by the caller, including medical/clinical necessity. Investigate and problem solve clinical and/or placement issues to completion Data enter information into client record system, and utilize data from system in order to make appropriate referrals or facilitate transfer. Position to be housed at Fatima. Bachelor degree in Human Services field. Must possess knowledge of the clinical criteria of Center programs, including knowledge of both mental health and substance abuse, along with all insurance/ managed care contracts. Must have strong computer skills with experience with Word, Excel, Client Search, EMR and AS400.

Job No. TBD Housing Case Manager - HomeBaseProgram 
Hourly Rate: $12.95 - $16.92 (midpoint) Full-time M – F 37.5 hrs per week.
Coordinate services for consumers to stabilize and maintain housing and minimize stressors. Coordinate a variety of services. Coordinate the tenant certification process. Teach consumers adult daily living skills. Negotiate on behalf of the consumer, as needed, with landlords, courts, families, the treatment team, and consumers themselves. Transport consumers in own vehicle or Center van to planned activities and appointments. Complete recordkeeping in accordance with Health Information Services (HIS) and other Center requirements within required time frames and abide by Center confidentiality policy. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Human Services. Experience in Human Services Field preferred.

Job No. 5193 Substance Abuse Therapist - Intermediate Services 
Salary $28,250 – 37,000 (midpoint) Full-time 37.5 hrs.
Provide individual, group and family therapy and monitor client progress. Perform other duties to support Adult Behavioral Substance Abuse Services. Bachelor's degree in Social work, Counseling or related field, and 2 years experience in the substance abuse field. Must have LCDP or be actively working toward licensure. Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred. Must have awareness of the general trends in confronting the problems of substance abuse.

Job No. 3069 Behavior Specialist – C&F The Providence Center School
Salary: $32,500 - $45,000 (midpoint) 37.5 hrs M & W 8am – 3:30pm, T & Th 8am – 4pm and F 8am – 3pm
(Scheduled is reduced on Fridays due to not having lunch breaks during week – eat in cafeteria with students)
Provide leadership in developing positive behavioral strategies, support and approaches as part of the school community through instruction and training. Promote the concept that social emotional learning has intrinsic value and lays the foundation for academic learning, social success and appropriate behavioral choices. Master's degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred; Experience with Behavioral Program development required; Certification in special education considered. Three to five years prior experience working in community settings, home settings, or school settings for special needs students ages 3-21 desired and fluency in verbal and written Spanish a plus.

Job No. TBD Clinical Nurse Specialist
Salary: TBD - Full-Time Permanent Schedule TBD. The Providence Center is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner.
Assesses and functions as the primary psychiatric prescriber for mentally ill consumers in an outpatient medical setting, makes appropriate referrals and performs in liaison role between consumer and PCHC medical staff, family and/or other community providers. Services are provided to children, adults, in an individual, family, and/or group setting. Health needs range from simple to complex and are focused on the promotion of optimum wellness, disease prevention and integration of primary and mental health care. Based out of the PCHC Clinic on 369 Prairie Avenue, Providence, RI. MSN, RI Psychiatric Nurse Clinical Specialist Certification/Advance Practice Registered Nurse. Licensed for prescribing privileges. Experience providing direct service to children , youth and adults. Knowledge of the managed care process. Experience and licensure to be credentialed required. Spanish fluency desirable.

Job No. 603 Clinical Therapist Adolescent PHP 
Salary $32,500 - $45,000 (midpoint) full-time M-F 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Provide clinical and educational programming to partial and intensive outpatient treatment programs designed for children ages 13-21. Provide therapeutic programming in the PHP and IOP programs, including clinical interventions, skill building in coping and social skills, ADL work, academic and vocational skill building, recreation activities, family outreach and education, and health education. Masters degree in social work or other mental health field. 1-3 years providing individual and group therapy to children and youth who have behavioral and/or emotional disabilities preferred. Knowledge of intensive clinical programming for population and ability to integrate these with clinical methodology.

Emergency Services Clinicians (after hours) 12:00 midnight - 8:00 a.m.
(Hourly rate varies base on experience). Per Diem, including nights to provide outpatient services after hours for Center consumers at local ER Hospitals.  Evaluate and make recommendations regarding treatment.  RN or Clinical masters degree and experience with crisis intervention required.

Fee-for-Service Clinician - BHOP
To provide outpatient psychotherapy either at The Center. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master degree in Social Work and relevant clinical experience. LICSW/LMHC with 3 year post licensure and LCDP required. Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.

Fee-for-Service Clinical Therapist - Child and Family 
Work with children, adolescents, and their families providing outpatient therapeutic services. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field and relevant clinical experience required. LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT required. 3 years post-license experience preferred.  Must have experience with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Fee-for-Service Psychologist - Child and Family
Provide psychological evaluation and testing, as well as provide psychotherapy to consumers in our Child and Family Program. Ph.D in Psychology with emphasis on children, Rhode Island licensure, and several years of clinical experience with children and their families required.  Generous compensation, comparable to private practice take home!  Benefit and pension eligibility a possibility if you meet the minimum hours requirement.

Join The Providence Center and become part of a well-respected community mental health center.  The Center provides a wide spectrum of outpatient and residential services.  Job responsibilities are varied.  Board certification or eligibility is required. Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting is preferred.
