Retained Life Estate Chart

  • You transfer your property (house, vacation home, etc.) to The Providence Center subject to a life estate.
  • You may continue to live in the property for life or a specified term of years.
  • While you life there, you are responsible for all taxes and upkeep.
  • The property passes to The Providence Center when your life passes or the term expires.

Benefits

  • The Providence Center will credit you with your gift and you’ll receive an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of the appraised value of your property.

  • If you no longer need to live in the property, you can terminate your life estate at any time and take an additional income tax deduction.
