Dale K. Klatzker, Ph.D., president/CEO of The Providence Center, accepted a check for $14,000 from Marc A. Leone and Debbie Dennett, members of the Coastway Cares Committee. The funds were raised through Coastway Cares’ seventh annual golf tournament.
“We are grateful for Coastway’s commitment to the community,” said Klatzker. “This generous donation will allow us to continue to support the underinsured and uninsured not only by offering psychiatric services, but also help with food, clothing and housing.”
Coastway Cares is a non-profit charitable foundation formed by Coastway Community Bank and staffed by Coastway Community Bank employee volunteers.
The Providence Center annually serves over 10,000 adults, children and adolescents experiencing mental illness, substance use and emotional problems. Since its establishment in 1969, The Providence Center has been part of Rhode Island’s exemplary behavioral health care system, offering a comprehensive array of treatment and rehabilitation services.
