Celebrate Recovery Month at Rally for Recovery on September 11!
September is Recovery Month. This year’s theme, Join the Voices for Recovery: Now More Than Ever!, highlights the importance of recovery and treatment for substance use disorders now, at this time, more than ever.
The Providence Center will mark National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month with other Rhode Island organizations at the “Rally for Recovery,” on September 11 at Roger Williams National Park in Providence, RI. The Rally is an opportunity for all members of the recovery community—providers, individuals in recovery, family, advocates, and elected officials—to celebrate recovery.
The Providence Center, represented by Jim Gillen, clinical coordinator of recovery services, joined SAMHSA as a national planning partner for Recovery Month events at meetings and events in Washington, D.C.
