Intensive Treatment Programs - Help for Troubled Teens

The troubled teen Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are intensive programs designed to help troubled teens between 13 and 21 years-old who are experiencing acute behavior, emotional and/or psychiatric symptoms.

Partial Hospital Program (PHP)
The PHP helps troubled teens learn to manage their symptoms in a supportive, structured environment. Five days a week, six hours a day, PHP clients attend group therapy sessions to help them reduce their symptoms, learn relaxation and impulse-control techniques, and build their self-esteem. The program also includes group therapy, socialization activities, and vocational and educational support. Each client receives individualized treatment from a team comprised of a doctor, therapist, and a case manager, which works closely with the client's primary therapist, psychiatrist, school, and family.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
For troubled teens who don't need such intensive care, but may not be quite ready to return to school, the IOP offers clients the opportunity to attend the PHP's group sessions for only half a day. This program helps troubled teens transition out of intensive care and back into the community.

All insurance, including RIte Care, is accepted.
