CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The CFO serves as a key member of the Executive Team and will be responsible for the fiscal management for the organization’s $30 million annual operating budget. The CFO oversees several departments including: Finance, Billing, Facilities, Safety, Intake and the Administrative Services. The right candidate should be a team player who is able to institute positive change and take a lead role in the future success of The Providence Center.
Essential Functions include:
- Directs the financial affairs of The Providence Center within the scope of
responsibility delegated by the CEO
- Establishes and maintains financial objectives and policies
- Works with CEO and the Executive Committee to establish long-range priorities for operations and capital expenditures for the agency
- Responsible for accurate and timely cash flow projections, financial and other reports as required for internal management, Federal Grants, MHRH and government agencies
- Reviews grant proposals and annual funding programs to insure compliance as needed
Minimum Education and Experience:
- 10-15 years of increasingly progressive management experience
- BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred
- Familiarity with health care and not-for-profit organizational structures
- Experience with budget preparation and financial management.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A team player, able to bring in new ideas as well as listen to other ideas
- Strategic-minded but also hands-on when needed
- Strong manager with mentorship and coaching philosophy
- Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and guidelines for nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of grant accounting guidelines
- Skill in capital management and investment

ASSOCIATE-LEVEL POSITIONS
Residential Case Manager – Grandview
Salary: $12.95 – $16.92 (midpoint). This is a full-time position, 37.50 hours per week. Shift hours to be determined. Provide psycho-social rehab services in order to facilitate program goals and objectives in a quality care approach. Associates Degree required. Experience in residential facilities preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and insured auto.
Part-time Residential Case Manager – Ledge Street
Salary: $12.95 - $16.92 (midpoint). This is a Part-time position. Friday and Sunday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm with a half hour lunch break. Provide psycho-social rehab services in order to facilitate program goals and objectives in a quality care approach. Associates degree required. Experience in residential facilities preferred. Must have valid driver's license and insured auto.
Part-time Residential Case Manager – Nashua Street
Salary: $12.95 - $16.92 (midpoint). This is a Part-time position 32 hours. Hours to be determined with some evenings and weekends required. Provide psycho-social rehab services in order to facilitate program goals and objectives in a quality care approach. Associates degree required. Experience in residential facilities preferred. Must have valid driver's license and insured auto.
BACHELOR-LEVEL POSITIONS
Technology Support Specialist, C&F
Salary: $12.18 - $15.38 (midpoint). This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm with a half hour lunch break. Assist the Technology Coordinator in the planning and implementation of the technology program for The Providence Center School. Assist in working with teachers, support staff members, and students to enhance instruction through the use of technology in the classroom and throughout the school – providing technical support to effectively use technology. Assist in the troubleshooting of computer software and hardware problems of school users. Assist in the overall maintenance and care of all school technology related products. Minimally a bachelor's degree in Education or Technology related field and at least two years experience. Experience in technology hardware/software applications and technology end-user support.
MASTER-LEVEL POSITIONS
Emergency Services Clinicians (After Hours)
(Hourly rate varies based on experience)
Per Diem, including nights to provide outpatient services after hours for Center consumers at RI Hospital. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding treatment. RN or Clinical masters degree and experience with crisis intervention required.
Fee-for-Service Clinician - BHOP
To provide outpatient psychotherapy either at The Center. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master degree in Social Work and relevant clinical experience. LICSW/LMHC with 3 year post licensure and LCDP required. Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.
Fee-for-Service Clinical Therapist - C&F
Work with children, adolescents, and their families providing outpatient therapeutic services. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program. Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field and relevant clinical experience required. LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT required. 3 years post-license experience preferred. Must have experience with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents.
Fee-for-Service Psychologist - C&F
Provide psychological evaluation and testing, as well as provide psychotherapy to consumers in our Child and Family Program. Ph.D in Psychology with emphasis on children, Rhode Island licensure, and several years of clinical experience with children and their families required. Generous compensation, comparable to private practice take home! Benefit and pension eligibility a possibility if you meet the minimum hours requirement.
