THE PROVIDENCE CENTER ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT
APPOINTMENT

 PROVIDENCE, RI ( April 25, 2006 ) – The Providence Center, a community-based, outpatient behavioral health organization, today announced thefollowing management appointment:

Jill E. Tavares has been named General Manager at PROMAIL, ETC ., a vocational program of The Providence Center . Since 1989,Tavares has worked as production manager of PROMAIL, a mailing and assembly business that employs disabled individuals – people who have worked hard to overcome mental illness and addictions . In her new role as General Manager, Tavares will be responsible for overseeing employment and rehabilitative opportunities for Providence Center clients along with managing overall daily operations.

Tavares is a graduate of Bristol Community College in Fall River , Mass . She resides in Swansea , MA .

The Providence Center annually serves over 9,000 adults, children, and adolescents who struggle with mental illness, addiction and emotional problems. Since its establishment in 1969, The Providence Center has been part of Rhode Island ’s exemplary behavioral health care system, offering a comprehensive array of treatment and rehabilitation services.
