TPC School and ALA Fall Field Trip

Posted: Monday, January 08, 2018

In October, Anchor Learning Academy (ALA) and the 8th graders from The Providence Center School (TPCS) went on a joint field trip together to Dame Farm and Pezza Farm in Johnston. We picked apples, and learned about the different kinds of apples and how they’re grown. We also learned about the history of the Dame Family farm. We all bought apples and cider!  It was both educational and delicious.

At Pezza Farm we went on a hayride, and students got to feed the cows and each pick a pumpkin. When the hayride ended we were able to meet and feed all the animals on the farm, including a pair of goats, chickens, horse, and turkeys. We then got to make scare crows!

The ALA and the 8th grade students got along really well. It was a real collaboration!
