News Archive: The Providence Center Apppoints New Board Members
March 18, 2005 - The Providence Center has appointed the following new board members:
Frank Casale, JR. brings over 18 years of business experience to The Providence Center’s Board of Trustees. In his current position as Senior Vice President of Sovereign Bank in Providence, RI, Casale is responsible for the development and management of a multi-million dollar Business Banking portfolio.
Casale has volunteered on numerous committees, most recently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Ocean State Business Development Corp., Meeting Street Center, and the Meeting Street Center Fiscal Policy Committee. He is also an Ambassador of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. Casale is a graduate of Rhode Island College. He resides in Warwick, RI.
Joel N. Stark brings over 32 years of business experience to The Providence Center’s Board of Trustees. In his current position as
a non-profit and small business consultant, Stark works with organizations in all aspects of business development. His recent consulting engagements have included strategic planning assignments for Trinity Repertory Company and The Providence Center.
Stark held a series of business related positions for The Providence Journal Company, retiring as senior vice president of marketing and development in 2001. Stark was responsible for the newspaper’s advertising sales, circulation, community services and sales promotion departments, along with leading the publishing division’s new product development efforts.
Stark has volunteered on numerous committees, serving on the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Providence Public Library. For Trinity Repertory, Stark serves on the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Board at the Center for Design and Business and has served as Chair of the “Success by Design” Conference Committee for the past six years. Stark is a graduate of Michigan State University as well as a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development. Stark resides in Warwick, RI.
