The 28th annual Charity Golf Classic was a success, drawing over 100 golfers and earning $8,365.31. The Providence Center provides mental health and addiction treatment and has been helping people from all walks of life since 1969.  The money raised will go toward strengthening their 65 programs and supporting new ways to reach those who need help. Erica Donnelly, TPC’s annual campaign manager, expressed the organization’s gratitude to the Chelo family. “Their generous donation will help ensure The Providence Center is able to continue to provide critical mental health and addiction treatment to thousands of Rhode Islanders in crisis,” Donnelly said. Since 1955, the locally-owned restaurant chain has been supporting Rhode Island communities. The Chelo family is proud to give back. “We support the mission of The Providence Center,” said restaurateur Craig Chelo. “It is our pleasure to donate the proceeds from our 29th Annual Charity Golf Classic to TPC.  We appreciate that the organization is always there for Rhode Islanders in need and is always working to develop new, more effective ways to provide their services.”  Photo: *Glenn Chelo, TPC’s Allison Bernier and Craig Chelo (l-r)* ##### Contact Us [Send Us A Message](https://www-providencecenter-org.sandbox.hs-sites.com/contact-us) [+1 (401) 276-4020](tel:+14012764020) 528 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904 - [**](https://www.facebook.com/providencecenter) - [**](https://twitter.com/TheProvCenter) - [**](https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-providence-center/) ##### Other Care New England Locations [Care New England ](https://www.carenewengland.org/) [Butler Hospital](https://www.butler.org/) [Kent Hospital](https://www.kentri.org/) [VNA of Care New England](https://www.vnacarenewengland.org/) [Women & Infants](https://www.womenandinfants.org/) ##### Patients and Visitors [Find A Provider](https://www.providencecenter.org/provider-finder) [Integra Community Care](https://www.integracare.org/) ##### About Us [Who We Are](https://www-providencecenter-org.sandbox.hs-sites.com/about) [Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)](https://www.carenewengland.org/dei) [Senior Leadership](https://www-providencecenter-org.sandbox.hs-sites.com/leadership) [In the News](https://www.providencecenter.org/news) [HIPAA](https://www-providencecenter-org.sandbox.hs-sites.com/hipaa) ##### Get Involved [Ways to Give](https://www-providencecenter-org.sandbox.hs-sites.com/donate) [Careers ](https://www.carenewengland.org/careers) [Volunteer](https://www.carenewengland.org/volunteer) --- Copyright © 2026 Care New England Health System × You are about to leave our website and enter an external site.
