On October 20, 2021, The Providence Center (TPC) held its annual Circle of Stars event. Donors and supporters gathered in person and virtually to learn about the emergent need for mental health and addiction services for those struggling in our state. A total of $324,000 was raised to support The Center’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund and help to provide increased access to emergency services; compassionate mental health and substance use treatment; specialized programs for the homeless, veterans, and children, along with assistance with basic needs such as housing, food, and clothing.

Hosted by ABC6 News Anchor Doreen Scanlon, the evening honored Steve Sadler, owner of Performance Environmental Services, LLC. For over a decade, Steve and his team have been working to help to keep The Providence Center’s facilities clean. Since 2010, they generously contributed over $129,000, including a $50,000 match the evening of the event in support of The Providence Center’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

Interim President and COO of The Providence Center, and President and COO, Butler Hospital, Mary Marran said, “The cumulative impact of pandemic-related challenges like isolation, personal loss, childcare issues, remote learning, and loss of employment – along with social and political unrest – have combined to create a surging wave of mental health needs. Despite the risk and sacrifices, our frontline staff works tirelessly to provide safe and exceptional mental health and addiction care. Their passion, purpose, and determination to improve people's lives are inspiring. They are true heroes.”

“I would also like to thank our Board of Trustees and our donor community. Their unwavering leadership and financial support have helped us to sustain vital programs and fund new innovation needed to change lives and even save lives,” added Marran.

This year’s top sponsors included Counterpart Wellness Coaching, Performance Environmental Services, LLC, Dispill-USA Inc., CVS Health, Faith E. Lamprey, Go To Services, LLC, and Mary and Mike Schwartz.
