Earlier this month, (Oct. 10) , The Providence Center (TPC) held its annual Circle of Stars event at the Rhode Island Convention Center, where over 275 supporters gathered to celebrate the organization’s 50th anniversary of blazing new trails in behavioral health. A record breaking $483,000 was raised to support The Center’s innovative programs providing critical care to more than 18,000 children, adults, and families struggling with mental illness and addiction each year.
Emceed by NBC 10 News Sunrise anchor, Alison Bologna, this special evening not only marked TPC’s milestone anniversary, but honored true community champions who have demonstrated their passion for the organizations mission.
This year’s honorees were, Maureen McDonald of Bristol, trustee emerita, The Providence Center; Mark Peterson of Eagan, MN, RPh, chief executive officer, Genoa Healthcare; Dr. Michael "Mickey" Silver of Providence, chief medical officer, The Providence Center; and Dr. David Siwicki of Jamestown, co-founder of Dominion Diagnostics and GENEUS Health. Charles E. Maynard, former president, CEO, and founder of The Providence Center, served as the 50th celebration chairperson.

O’Brien, president and COO, The Providence Center.
